Is this AI tool still active? Check before relying on it

A service can have a working homepage and a broken product. An old update date does not prove abandonment either. Before relying on an unfamiliar AI service, check three separate things: reachability, the task you need, and maintenance evidence.

Start with the address and check time

Open the service's current address rather than a screenshot or an old launch announcement. On Nanodir, each Service page shows its status and the time of the last check. Read both together. An Online result describes a past request, not a guarantee about your next visit.

A result from several days ago is weaker evidence than a recent one. Not checked means no usable result is available. It does not mean Online. An Offline result means the automated request did not receive a successful response. The service may be unavailable, but access restrictions or a temporary outage can produce the same result.

Try the task without committing money

Follow Visit service and inspect the destination before entering personal information. Does its description match the Service page? Can you reach its pricing, contact details, and any required sign-in?

If a free demonstration exists, try the actual action you need. Use sample information rather than confidential records. A homepage response cannot confirm that a generated report, integration, booking, or download works. Avoid paying merely to establish whether the basic product exists.

Look for maintenance evidence

Read dated updates and any published status page. Check whether support instructions are specific and whether the service explains its limitations. These signals help, but none proves quality or continuing operation.

A quiet changelog may belong to a stable service. A recent announcement may describe a feature that is not available yet. Treat both as supporting evidence, not a verdict. Reviews can describe another person's experience. Check their dates and whether they concern your intended use.

Understand what Nanodir checks

Nanodir sends an automated request to the service address and records the response and check time. A successful response marks it Online. This is a reachability check, not a product test. It does not verify support responsiveness, output accuracy, security, or successful payment delivery.

Checks are scheduled repeatedly, but a queue can delay them. The displayed Last checked time is the evidence to use. If the result seems wrong, open the service yourself before concluding that it has closed.

Decide what happens next

If the service responds and your sample task works, review the terms before relying on it. If it fails, try again later or compare another service in the same Category. Keep a fallback for work that cannot wait.

Owners can correct their Service page and consider Featured, priced at $5 for 7 days. Featured changes placement, not the health result. It is not a quality certification.
